Meet the Bride & Groom

Who we are, before and beyond the wedding

The Bride

Branding & web designer, illustration artist, tango dancer, piano player, enthusiastic cook and foodie, traveler, and serial starter of new projects.

She loves spending time with family, and friends, and has an almost addictive attraction to new experiences, unfamiliar places, and anything that feels just a little outside the known. She has a particular weakness for Mondrian, Warhol, Koons, art theory, design history, spontaneous plans, and the kind of experiences that make life feel bigger than it did the day before.

She believes in integrity, creativity, personal growth, learning by doing, and authenticity above almost everything else. She has almost no free time — but if she ever finds some, she is probably already turning it into another project, trip, dinner, or adventure.

The Groom

Finance professor, reader, writer, cyclist, saxophone player, occasional kayaker, unlicensed theologian, Shriner, and devoted dog dad to Raksha.

A lifelong student of investments, economics, markets, philosophy, history, symbolism, literature, humanity, poetry and the traditions that connect them, he has a particular weakness for Tolstoy, Spinoza, King Arthur, Scotland, Viking lore, Wagner, Coltrane, forests, unnecessary chord changes, great books, and big ideas.

He believes in curiosity, individual freedom, original thought, old traditions, ill-advised adventures, and truly terrible dad jokes. He is rarely far from a book, a bicycle, a saxophone, or his little wolf.

The People Who Raised Us

The love that brought us here

Salvador & Maru

My parents have been a constant source of love, support, and guidance throughout my life. From my mother I learned the importance of warmth, resilience, and the joy of bringing people together. From my father I learned discipline, determination, responsibility, and generosity. Their example, strength, and encouragement have shaped so much of who I am today, and having them beside us for this celebration means more than words can say.

Adriana

Marvin & Gaylynne

Much of who I am began with my parents. From my mother I inherited a love of music, words, art, books, ideas, and the pleasure of curiosity itself. From my father I inherited the instinct to build, improve, experiment, understand how things work, and take risks. They gave me very different things, but together they taught me to approach life with curiosity, independence, and a willingness to make something of it. I carry both of them with me. They made me who I am.

Our Bridesmaids & Groomsmen

A few of our favorite people, right by our side.

Fernanda

Maid of Honour

The day they met, their path began with a pendulum, neither knowing where it would move. So began the story of Adriana and the Viking: two different voices learning, in their own rhythm, when to improvise, listen, and stay silent.

The pendulum could never have imagined the story of movement, growth, independence, harmony, and union that would follow. Like jazz, not everything is written. May they keep moving, loving, and enjoying every stage, knowing there is always a point that holds them steady.

Carlos

Best Man

There is a teaching: if you love a flower, you should not pick it, for in doing so, it ceases to be what you loved. To love is to let it be. Perhaps love is discovering someone beyond what they show the world, learning their thoughts and dreams, not to change them, but to understand them.

Heber and Adriana have found something in this way of loving. May they never lose that curiosity, keep discovering each other with the freedom that brought them together, allowing one another to be fully and freely who they truly are.

Yuliana

Bridesmaid

What a joy it is to see my friend, someone who moves through the world with such sensitivity, elegance, and an adventurous spirit, find a partner who is thoughtful, intelligent, and able to walk beside and protect such a generous soul. I am sure that together they will create a third force filled with love, art, adventure, growth, and meaning.

And I hope those of us lucky enough to call them friends will always be there to share in their journey. Love you with my heart.

Andrew

Groomsman

When friends think of Heber, they think of his intelligence. I think of his smile. I remember his smile when we slept on his trampoline, staring into the vastness of space over Chihuahua; when we skied across Laguna Fierro; when we played on the Lobo football team; when we rappelled down the building at Academia Juárez; and when we camped near Pacheco and Tres Ríos.

And now, I see his biggest smile whenever Adriana is around. I’m grateful for our lifelong friendship and honored to stand beside him as he begins this next adventure, one I know will bring more smiles than ever.

Ulises

Groomsman

Some people amaze you with what they can do. Others change what you believe you can do. Heber did both. At Interacciones, I met someone who could recite Poe’s “The Raven” while solving a Rubik’s Cube behind his back. That extraordinary mind became an extraordinary friend, encouraging me to pursue the CFA and see new possibilities in myself.

As he and Adriana write their story together, may they find poetry in ordinary days, laughter in unexpected turns, and the quiet strength of believing in each other. Some people inspire us to reach further; how beautiful to build a life beside one.

Julieta

Bridesmaid

You have taken a beautiful step in choosing to celebrate marriage. Let the world know of your love, loyalty, mutual respect, and desire to live side by side, supporting one another as individuals and as a couple, so that you may enjoy life to the fullest.

May you continue discovering each other through laughter, shared thoughts, and passionate conversations that lead to growth. Adriana, I love you deeply, and I’m so happy to see the love you have built together. I’m grateful to witness it.

Gricha

Groomsman

Heber, some people are handed a life that would break anyone: hard roads, difficult seasons, and grief deep enough to silence the heart. You have walked through all of it, and what I admire most is that you never stopped choosing happiness. You didn't find it by forgetting; you built it, patiently and bravely. That is why I see you as an example. Today you have chosen the best person I could ever imagine by your side: Adriana.

Heber and Adriana, may the joy that begins today surpass, by orders of magnitude, every sorrow that came before. Thank you both for letting us be part of the first page of your story together. Here's to a long and happy life, side by side.

Toufic

Groomsman

Mazel tov! This is used to say congratulations in Hebrew, although the literal translation is good luck. I’m sure you don’t need luck, because you already have love, companionship, and mutual respect. We wish you a lifetime filled with unforgettable moments, shared laughter, and a home where joy is always present.

May you enjoy this new journey together to the fullest!
